1. Introduction
Stanton Glantz pretends at science, or at the very least doesn’t know how to factually present it. Here we have a most unscientific conclusion for a rather deadly subject.
Why isn’t @FDAtobacco going after e-cigs? That’s how most kids get addicted to nicotine. They add the cigs later, after they’re addicted.
What follows is the original Tweet and some surprisingly eloquent and great replies. These folks deserve a follow (only follow Stanton if you want more pseudo-science, such as vaping leads to smoking).
2. Original Tweet
As you can see, his tweet has nothing to do with the infographic displayed.

This infographic shows the decline of both smoking and vaping over the years among teenagers.
4. Mallory Gate’s Response
don’t look like teens out number adults vaping. Maybe you consulted with a Dr from Australia that gives his son 2 cigarettes daily to stop him from vaping. Lets forget cigarette smoking leads to death and cancers. pic.twitter.com/BHnYrjJcDt

I will be following up with an article about a Doctor from Australia who gave cigarettes to a teen to get him to quit vaping.
5. Lance Churchill’s Response
Nobody but you believe anymore that e-cigs are a gateway to smoking. There is NO evidence for that claim. Because of vaping, in just a few short years, youth smoking is now almost non-existent. Vaping is a substitute for those youth who would have smoked.

He provides more data regarding Glantz’s pseudo-science and misinformation about teen vaping.
6. Lindsey Stroud’s Response to Lance Churchill
One of the reasons my 50 state analyses focus on 18 to 24 year olds was to refute that gateway claim. But, unfortunately, 3 out of 4 states with flavored e-cig bans have seen increases in young adult smoking rates. If anything, e-cigs are the opposite of a gateway.

As you can see, this is now starting to trend. Unfortunately for poor Glantz, I see no supporting tweets.

7. Der Käpten’s Response
Ban Coca Cola. It contains caffeine. Kids will be lifelong heavy coffee drinkers after enjoying their cokes. Coca Cola is made by Big Coffee to lure kids!

Now, this is my style. I am definitely older, and non-smoking but using nicotine REALLY appeals to me.
8. And Finally, Edward Hubert’s Response:
